Acqua Electronics Modular Line of analog and digital video and audio equipment is engineered to satisfy high quality professional and broadcast requirements for cost effective, reliable, configurable, small footprint equipment.
It is composed of three families of hot swapping plug-in units and a mounting frame. There is no restriction to the type of equipment allowed in any slot.
Excellent signal integrity is obtained by having all input and output signal connectors installed on board. Plug In (Eurocard type) connectors carry only remote control and power supply wiring.
MD (Modular Digital) line relates to SDI (HD and SD) while MA (Modular Analog) to analog input and output boards even if the internal process maybe partially or totally digital. MH line comprise a family of analog and digital test signal generators.
AE–MF1 is a one rack unit mainframe with housing capacity of up to 5 modules, user interface is performed via an LCD and an ergonomic keyboard; menu driven operation of all the modules, including the AE-MF1 itself, is very friendly and straightforward.
One of the slots has to be filled with the M–PWR universal power supply, with power enough to support a fully populated mainframe, including its internal controller.
As the power supply has the same physical and electrical interface characteristics of the other modules, redundancy can be obtained by plugging in a second one. Once automatically detected it will hot stand by.
